Jordan Luck has a new album coming out next month, but there's just one teensy, tiny problem: it doesn't have a name.

To remedy this, the former Exponents frontman is asking fans to come up with one.

The Jordan Luck Band (highly original name there) are going out on tour, and anyone who buys a ticket to one of the shows or pre-orders the nameless album will have the chance to christen it.

"We do not have a moniker for the album, we do not have a name, so we invite you to name the beast -- please," Luck begs.

The album, Luck's first without the Exponents, features the singles 'Can I Help You' and 'Only if You're Lonely'. The tour does have a name -- Edens of Suburbia -- and kicks off at Nivara Lounge in Hamilton on April 30.

"In celebration of this and New Zealand music month, we're going to be doing an extensive throughout New Zealand from the last weekend of April through to the first weekend of June," says Luck.

"Oh man, I just can't wait."

The competition winner will receive show tickets, merchandise and artwork created and signed by Dick Frizzell and the band.

If you want to name the album, you'll need to pre-order it or buy presale tickets to a show before April 8. The winner will be announced on April 9, with the album out April 29.

Luck is a member of the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame and the New Zealand Order of Merit.
