Madonna's 18-year-old child Lourdes was photographed guzzling a can of Bud Light while partying in the front row at her mother's concert in Detroit on October 1.

The 57-year-old pop icon is currently travelling the world as part of her Rebel Heart Tour.

Lourdes attended the Detroit leg with a group of her friends and TMZ published photos of the teenager drinking a can of beer during the concert.

In America the legal drinking age is 21 years old, which means Lourdes was illegally consuming alcohol.

Lourdes is a regular at her mother Madonna's parties, as the teenager also attended her mum's lavish gypsy-themed birthday bash in August.

Earlier this year Madonna, who in addition to Lourdes is mother to sons Rocco, 15, David, 10, and daughter Mercy, nine, discussed her thoughts on alcohol and drugs.

Madonna revealed while speaking to her children on the subject, she did not scold them for experimenting with various substances.

"I just ask my daughter to make wise decisions and to do things in moderation and to try not to mix her alcohol," she disclosed during an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show.

"I am not going to say, 'no, don't do it' because that is just absurd. And it is not fair. Yeah, I did it."

Even though she is open-minded on the subject of drug use, Madonna doesn't like being intoxicated.

The star prefers remaining in a clear headed and sober state of mind.

"I am not a big fan of drugs. They just don't suit me," she explained.

"The handful of times I have tried drugs, many many many many years ago, I just didn't enjoy it. I wanted it out of me. I started guzzling bottles of water thinking that was going to end it."

Madonna's Rebel Heart Tour will travel to several more cities and the concert series is ending in Brisbane, Australia on March 27, 2016.
