Mariah Carey is dreaming of an all-star duet with Beyonce.

The 'Hero' singer has been a longtime fan, but she and the 'Crazy in Love' singer have never hit the studio or stage together, and Carey hopes to change that soon.

"I would love to work with her anytime, she's amazing," Carey told Access Hollywood.

"We've known each other for a while... It'll happen, when and if it happens... And if not, I'll always admire her and look at her as a friend.

"We have a lot of fun, she's fun. She's a great girl. I love her so much, I really do."

Carey did get the chance to collaborate with another super-famous friend, the late Whitney Houston, at the 1999 Oscars, when the two superstars performed Best Original Song winner 'When You Believe'.

"I remember every detail of that night and she was amazing," Carey said. "She brought the house down and she was fantastic.

"We had good times together. She was a fun girl, woman. And, you know, we miss her."

Meanwhile, Carey has a busy 2016 ahead of her - as well as planning a wedding to fiance James Packer, the singer will return to Las Vegas in June for her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and then she'll hit the road for dates in Europe.

"There's a lot of nights, there's a lot of cities, there's a lot of people and I'm just looking for a lot of joy," Carey smiled.

"I just want to connect with my fans."
