British actor Michael Le Vell has been cleared of raping a six-year-old girl.
Le Vell, who is a household name in the UK for his longrunning role in hit soap opera Coronation Street, was accused of repeatedly abusing the youngster over a nine-year period from the age of six.
He denied the allegations, insisting the girl was a "fantasist" who had made up stories of sex abuse, and he was cleared of 12 charges, including five counts of rape and three indecent assaults, by a jury in Manchester, England on Tuesday.
