One Direction and Justin Bieber are set for one of pop's biggest showdowns after the boy band announced plans to release its fifth album on the same day as the 'Baby' singer's new project.

Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne have made the release plans for Made in the A.M. official in a 15-second video uploaded to their Twitter account.

The quartet revealed Made In the A.M. is currently available for pre-order ahead of its November 13, while a second track from the album was released on Tuesday.

In the video, Styles says, "As a little treat, can you can download album track 'Infinity' instantly."

The album will be the band's last before Styles and company take a "well earned break" next year.

Bieber fans took note of the release date, because the pop star has also earmarked November 13 for his new album, which will feature 'Where Are U Now' and his first US and UK number one 'What Do You Mean?'.
