The 85th Academy Awards are underway this afternoon, with Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey earning three nominations, but no wins.

Stars have walked the red carpet and the ceremony, hosted by Family Guy and Ted creator Seth MacFarlane, has begun, with MacFarlane singing, dancing and joking through his introduction.

Christoph Waltz has won Best Supporting Actor for his role in Django Unchained, and Anne Hathaway won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Les Miserables.

Best Actor was won by Daniel Day-Lewis for Lincoln, and Best Actress was won by Jennifer Lawrence for Silver Linings Playbook. Amour won Best Foreign Language Film.
