The paparazzi will often go to extreme lengths to get a shot.
But now some celebrities say they're taking things too far, using drones to fly above the stars' Hollywood homes and targeting their kids.
Miley Cyrus once uploaded a video of a drone flying over her back garden. A new law in the US bans the paparazzi from using drones to invade stars' privacy, but it's difficult to enforce – as are rules about taking photos of celebrities out and about with their children.
"It's not about me – take my picture, I get it," says movie star Halle Berry. "But these little innocent children who didn't ask to be celebrities, they're not actors. They didn't ask to be thrown in this game."
Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore have also spoken out about the paparazzi's wilful ignorance of the law.
