Michael Jackson's teenager daughter Paris has suggested she is attending Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings during a furious rant at online critics.

The troubled 17-year-old shared the information in an expletive-filled message posted on photo-sharing website Instagram.com, in which she compared criticism from social media trolls to the intense public scrutiny her father received.

"This [sic] is f**king ridiculous. I am expected to literally sit on my a** all day replying to comments people leave me [positive and negative]?" Paris writes. "I have AA [Alcoholics Anonymous] meetings to go to. Family obligations. Personal obligations. Its [sic] so f**king selfish that I am literally attacked on every f**king thing I post just because people that I don't even know aren't getting what they want.

"I don't know any of you. I appreciate the love and support, but the expectations are f**king ridiculous. The expectations for my Dad were f**king ridiculous. He didn't owe you anything, yet he was ripped to shreds daily. I will not let that happen to me."

Paris' rant comes more than two years after she was hospitalised following an apparent suicide attempt in June, 2013. Her father Michael passed away in 2009 after an overdose of prescription drugs, and the doctor who administered the anaesthetic, Conrad Murray, was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter for his part in the superstar's death.
