Visitors to the Niagara Falls have been treated to an even more breathtaking spectacle than usual, with parts of the river at the United States-Canada border freezing over in the extreme cold.
The huge amounts of frozen water in the upper Niagara River have resulted in an ice jam, prompting flash-flood warnings to be issued for some areas.
