Sam Claflin felt “let down” when his co-star Johnny Depp didn’t attend a get together.
The actor appeared alongside the Hollywood legend in the fourth instalment of Disney franchise Pirates of the Caribbean and invited him to take part in a soccer game between the cast and locals.
But although Johnny initially agreed to join them, he didn’t show up.
“We did invite Johnny Depp. He said he was going to come. Never did. Let down…” Sam told GQ magazine.
The 25-year-old is currently promoting his new movie Snow White and the Huntsman, in which he portrays Prince William.
When asked how his character compares to Armie Hammer’s Prince Charming in Mirror Mirror, Sam was doubtful Prince William would win a charm battle.
“[Could he] Out-charm [Hammer’s character]? Uh, no. My prince isn’t actually hugely charming. The way I portray him is that he hasn’t even been with any other women… He is actually a bit broody. A bit depressed…” he said, before insisting that his character could defeat his rival on the battlefield. “In a fight? Oh yeah. Different kingdoms. I’d kick his backside.”
