Former Guns 'n Roses bandmates Slash and Axl Rose  have reportedly reconciled after a bitter war of words ended their friendship five years ago.

In an interview with Swedish Aftonbladet TV, guitarist Slash reportedly declares the rockers have put their differences aside and are now on speaking terms again.

When a reporter asks if they are friends again, the former Velvet Revolver rocker replies, "It was probably way overdue, you know. But it's... you know, it's very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative... dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long (sic)."

However, when asked if the original Guns 'N Roses line-up would ever reform, Slash was keen to change the subject, adding, "Oh, I couldn't answer that one, though. All right, let's get off the subject, 'cause, you know, that's an old one."

The pair famously fell out after Rose told fans in 2010 that Slash was a "clueless, loud mouthed, arrogant f**k."
