Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler is planning an assault on the country charts after relocating to Nashville, Tennessee to work with the songwriters behind hits for Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Eric Church.

The singer reportedly moved to Music City at the beginning of the year and has been soaking up the local scene.

A new deal with Scott Borchetta's Big Machine Label Group is expected to be announced within the next few weeks, according to Billboard.com, and Tyler is already hard at work on a debut country album.

Sources tell the website Tyler has already recorded songs with Brett James, who co-wrote Carrie Underwood's 'Cowboy Casanova' and 'Jesus Take the Wheel', as well as Martina McBride's 'Blessed'.
