Kiwi performer Tape Face, who was a finalist in this year's America's Got Talent but didn't quite win, is set to share in the grand prize anyway.

The Canterbury-born comedian, real name Sam Wilis, wowed judges and audiences with his mime routines, but lost out to grand final winner Grace VanderWaal.

Claiming the talent show's top prize scored the child ukulele player US$1 million prize and her own show in Las Vegas.

A day after she won, it's been announced VanderWaal has invited Tape Face to perform at the Las Vegas gigs with her, as well as fellow finalists The Clairvoyants.

"Well, things just have a way of working out don't they," Willis wrote on social media with a link to the announcement.

Grace VanderWaal, Tape Face and The Clairvoyants will be performing at Planet Hollywood Resort on October 27, 28 and 29.
