Taylor releases behind-the-scenes video of shooting in NZ

Taylor Swift has released a behind-the-scenes video of her 'Out of the Woods' music video, shot at Bethells Beach in November, claiming it's the most beautiful beach she has ever been to.

She posted a link to the video on Twitter to her over 70 million followers crediting her director Joseph Kahn.

New Zealand was buzzing when rumours were confirmed the US pop singer was in the country, filming in west Auckland.

But the video wasn't without controversy, angering Auckland conservationists who claimed her crew endangered baby dotterels, a native bird, during the production of the music video.

But Cherokee Films responded with a statement that denied any harm was caused to the birds, and even offered a donation to the dotterel breeding programme.

It seems any bad blood with New Zealand has been put behind her, with Swift gushing: "We are in New Zealand on one of the most, not one of the most, but the most beautiful beach I've been to in my life".

She can be seen shivering in November-cold waters, getting wet sand rubbed into her skin, and cameras following her every move.

She even mentions frustration at a "paparazzi" helicopter hovering over her.
