Pop star Taylor Swift has topped Billboard's list of the highest-paid musicians over the last year, earning a whopping US$73.5 million.
Her highly successful 1989 World Tour, which visited Australia late last year but skipped over New Zealand, earned her an incredible US$61.7 million.
But that wasn't all the 'New Romantics' hitmaker made -- she was paid US$4.1m from publishing royalties, US$7.2m from sales, and US$564,000 from streaming, after shaking off her earlier boycott of Apple Music.
Country star Kenny Chesney came second on Billboard's list and the Rolling Stones third, at US$39.8m and US$39.6m respectively.
After losing Zayn Malik, boyband One Direction slipped down the list from their number one position in 2014.
Instead their dominance was 'History', sitting at number five with US$24.2m earned in the past 12 months -- US$19.6m in touring.
British superstar Adele said 'Hello' to the list with an incredible feat. She sits at number nine, at US$20.5m -- but unlike the other stars, none of that money was from touring.
And Britney Spears managed to rake in US$10.6 over the past year, including $10m from touring and $415K from sales, without releasing an album.
