Sid Diamond - 'No Sympathy'
'No Sympathy' will hit home in the heart of many across the country who can relate to Young Sid's troublesome past. It's a smooth and heartfelt execution of Sid explaining that he's aware of how people see 'a man like me' but respect is still deserved.  Whether it's the lyrics or beat- or just a tight mix of the two there's no surprises one of NZ's rap heavy weight hits the top of the chart and gains the respect of listeners as he tries to move on in life.

Ashley Hughes - 'Big Ping Forever
The second spot this week pulls at heart strings as Hughes takes listeners inside the painful experience of his brother passing away. 'Big Ping Forever' illustrates frustration, anger and grief using a juxtaposition of lyrics that are sad but a beat  that is not. There's an energy to the track that feels more like a release of worked up emotion-an energy that births some of hip hops rawest tracks. This is one.

INF - 'Good Bye'
What INF can do is produce and rap. Meaning he has the ability to take what's in his head and make it available to your iTunes. His inner 'G' on Good Bye comes out panning and bragging from the second you hit play. He challenges you to like him, and despite all the ego, his lyrical skill and production abilities see him winning with Good Bye.

INF - 'BxBxLxB'
Something new is happening with hip hop worldwide and it's exiting. If we were to point out anyone in New Zealand putting out music with such a sound it would be INF and his SWIDT company. Big Brother Little Brother, produced by Smokey Beatz is lyrically catchy and is still conscious whilst funny. It's honest and definitely relevant to what's happening in the local, and more notably, the international scene right now...."Your only click is your mouse."

EMG - 'Over And Over'
'Over And Over' is a remix of Dom Kennedy's 'My Kind of Party' and is the second release off EMG's Monday Blues series. As the boys tell listeners about  dodging 'police and baby mamas' what they do do better than Dom Kennedy is provide a catchy hook on Over And Over.
