Produced by Supa Prod Nyce, ‘What Am I Supposed To Do’ is a whole lot of fun and definitely deserves number one this week. These two keep chipping away and gaining the attention they deserve. Labelled as 'an alternative hip hop duo' they've snowballed a large following since 2011 and it seems we should all watch out as the new school just do their thing and getting it done. Zaidoon Nasir raps: "If you knew, well, wouldn't you just do it like them shoes that are cool, well, shouldn't you just fit him, the school taught you riles but the shoes taught you lessons. Would you rather learn a lesson or rock them shoes you invest it?"
INF – ‘Raww’
It is difficult to write this and keep still as the beat for ‘Raww’ drops. Produced by Madd Music, the SWIDT team and INF are posted at the top of their game right now. You can see the 'SWIDT' oozing out INF's mouth as he raps between shipment containers. The video byJay Knight x Tony Douglas is shot clean and simple and the affect just adds to the 'g-shock' of it all.
Uptown Swuite – ‘Freestyle (Promo)’
Uptown Swuite & Chris Santos are working on an EP named First Flight Up. It is so refreshing to peel back the lyrics from heavily, well produced tracks and hear this guy spitting a freestyle in an industrial yard where the only sound behind him is a noisy truck passing by as he spits about struggling, sins, losing friends and the usos still around.
Viscous Villain - My Life In a Song
Guitar strings pluck as Viscious Villain pours his heart out onto 'My Life In A Song' which sounds like raw soul; where the beat acts like therapy for the lyrics that are the issues.
East Music Group have definitely been going hard with their music, this observation comes from their out-put alone. 'Attraction' prod by AyramzBeatz is the sixth and final release before the EMG mothership Monday Blues Vol 3 – The Long Weekend drops.
