The Bachelor NZ is coming back for another season, hoping to make it two out of three when it comes to successfully matching up ladies with their perfect man.

To do that, the producers are looking for single ladies aged 21 to 35, "genuinely looking for love and plenty of adventure".

"New Zealand has shown us they simply can't get enough," says MediaWorks chief content officer Andrew Szusterman.

"They love to immerse themselves in a prospective love story, and so far we've had a pretty good 50 percent relationship hit rate."

Season one bachelor Art Green and winner Matilda Rice are still going strong as a couple, while season two's Jordan Mauger and lucky lady Fleur Verhoeven didn't quite have the same chemistry.

He dumped her after only three days, a reminder of how "real emotions from real people are at the heart of The Bachelor NZ".

Season three's bachelor appears to already have been chosen, with MediaWorks saying there will not be a casting call and his identity will be a "closely guarded secret" until shortly before the show returns in 2017.

The Bachelor NZ has been a ratings hit, with the 'Women Tell All' special reunion episode in May drawing nearly 1 million viewers.
