Runner-up on The Bachelor NZ Nazanin 'Naz' Khanjani has hit out at media reports of her splitting from her boyfriend, insisting the pair still love each other and her single status isn't confirmed.

Naz and digital marketing consultant Craig Sutherland have been in a relationship for several months, documenting it with loved-up photos on their respective social media accounts.

Rumours were published today that they had "officially" called it quits, which were seemingly backed up by changes to their Facebook accounts - but Naz says taking Craig out of her profile picture doesn't mean it's over.

"Sometimes these things happen in the heat of the moment, when someone has an argument. But, yeah, I'm not going to say if we're together or broken up, that's personal," she says.

"All I've got to say is it's best not to jump to any conclusions. I love Craig and he loves me and I'll leave it at that."

Naz, who five weeks ago defeated broadcaster Paul Henry's daughter Bella in a much-hyped boxing match, would like to be left alone to deal with her relationship issues in private.

"Just like any other relationship, there's hiccups. We just need a bit of space, neither Craig or I want to comment," she says.

"I've got to respect Craig's wishes, his family's wishes, my family's wishes and myself - and we don't want to comment on anything."

Nonetheless, as news of their alleged break-up has been published, the reality TV star is disappointed with what she says are inaccuracies.

"I think it's not nice to be putting up articles saying I'm single when nothing is actually confirmed," says Naz.

"They put some stuff in there that's not even true and that just puts more pressure on [Craig and I]."

Meanwhile, casting is open for would-be Bachelorettes to have their shot at love on the 2017 season of the show - applications can be made on the TV3 website.
