The Fate of the Furious 15 second teaser promises another high-octane ride

The Fast and the Furious franchise is back, with another action-packed film preparing to hit cinemas.

2015's Furious 7 was a smash hit, becoming one of the fastest movies to reach $1 billion worldwide.

Now, the trailer for the sequel has been released. Titled The Fate of the Furious, it brings the team back together for another high-octane ride.

Dom - played by Vin Diesel - has returned to a normal life and a honeymoon with Letty. However a mysterious woman - portrayed by Charlize Theron - seduces him back into a world of crime he can't seem to escape.

Cue a worldwide tour involving large explosions, thrilling stunts, and fast car chases.

Vin Diesel is joined by a returning all-star cast that includes Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky and Kurt Russell.

In addition to Theron, the series welcomes newcomers Scott Eastwood and Helen Mirren. The film is directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton) and produced by returning producers Neal H. Moritz, Michael Fottrell and Diesel.

The movie comes out April 14, 2017.
