The Rock FM’s annual ‘Rock Wives’ competition kicks off today with listeners nominating their wife or girlfriend in the hope they’ll be crowned ‘New Zealand’s hottest wife’.
Rock listeners submit photos of their wife or girlfriend by uploading them on The Rock website, and in previous years these entries have topped 800.
An expert panel of judges from The Rock chooses the top ten Rock Wives and then listeners make the final decision by online voting.
The overall winner walks away with $2,000 cash and a 6 day beach holiday in Tropical North Queensland.
Those sending in photos of their partners should ask permission though, as The Rock website has, from time to time, received emails from in-the-dog-house blokes asking for their partner's photos to be taken down.
In previous years winning couples have gotten engaged on air and broken up as a result of the attention the competition generated.
