The Sapphiresis based on the true story of a group of Aboriginal sisters who sing their way to Vietnam from outback Australia to entertain the troops under the oftentimes dubious guidance of their whiskey-loving Irish manager Dave.
It’s a little too cheesy in places for me but it would be just plain mean-hearted not to recommend this film as toe-tapping charming little singalong.
