He may have missed out on taking home any trophies, but Bruno Mars has paid tribute to Amy Winehouse in a moving performance at today's MTV Video Music Awards.
The 'Lazy Day' singer performed 'Valerie' - a song Winehouse covered for close friend Mark Ronson's album Version.
Mars was nominated for four awards, Video of the Year, Best Male Video and Best Pop Video for his single 'Grenade', and Best Choreography in a Video for 'Lazy Day', but failed to win any.
