American beauty Gigi Hadid has been named the best model of 2016 and the 21-year-old struggled to fight back tears while picking up the trophy.
She claimed the International Model of the Year honour during the British Fashion Awards ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall, days after walking the runway of the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Paris.
"I just want to say that I know that I'm in the generation of social media, and I'm so blessed for that, but the fashion industry is my family, and you guys are the ones that I'm here for," Hadid told the audience, which included the likes of David Beckham, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss.
"To everyone, who has been so genuine, and looked beyond what the rest of the world looked for, that has meant so much to me. You guys know who I am, and that to me means so much, so thank you for inspiring me, and for teaching me to look beyond - and for being the most amazing industry I could ever ask to be a part of; you guys are a dream come true."
The honour follows Hadid hitting headlines for the wrong reasons recently.
During her walk at the Victoria's Secret event, she suffered a wardrobe malfunction when one of the straps on her black bodysuit snapped threatening to completely unravel the entire outfit.
Last month she hosted the American Music Awards and was slammed for her impersonation of Melania Trump.
Hadid beat off stiff competition from the likes of her sister Bella and close friend Kendall Jenner to win the Fashion Award.
