Many of us have had workplace drama. However, few of us have publicly criticised our co-workers on live TV.
But that's precisely what San Francisco-based KRON 4 sports anchor Gary Radnich did after fellow anchor Catherine Heenan stuck with the teleprompter and scooped his big news that LeBron James will star in Space Jam 2.
Most people would chalk it up to a producer's error, a minor mistake, and let this one slide. Not Radnich though. Instead, in an excruciating Curb Your Enthusiasm-style exchange he brought up his long friendship with Heenan, and then, to make things worse, he dragged his mother into the situation.
"Catherine has stayed at my mother's home; she's written my mother notes and stolen my material," Radnich said.
"She's a good friend of my mom's, and there's going to come a time when you have to choose between the love of your mother and your mother's friends and the honour and dignity of KRON."
He now appears to be playing it off as a 'joke', and claims he was 'playing'.
Awkward.
