Kiwi singer Hayley Westenra secretly wed her fiancé last month, it has been confirmed.
Today Woman's Day published photos of the December 29 nuptials, which last week Westenra's father denied had taken place.
Westenra, 26, wed fiancé Arnaud Sabard, 34, whom she met when he was a sound engineer on one of her tours.
"During the ceremony, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, but I concentrated on Arnaud's face and looking at him made me smile," the bride told Woman's Day. "It feels so surreal to be standing here, married."
When news of the wedding broke last week, Westenra's father Gerald said the magazine had "misread the date", as the wedding had not yet happened.
The MC at the wedding was broadcaster and entertainer Jason Gunn. Christchurch singer Elizabeth Baggins performed for the more than 90 guests.
