Last night the little bundle of energy that is Cassie Henderson left the stage of The X Factor NZ.
After weeks of ups and downs it was the public vote that finally removed Henderson from the competition.
Joining her in the bottom two after Sunday night's performances was Whenua Patuwai.
Henderson delivered what was, in my opinion, one of her best performances ever, singing 'Skyscraper' by Demi Lovato.
Patuwai belted out R Kelly's classic ballad ‘I Believe I Can Fly'. His voice is amazing, there is no denying that. But it was his personality that was under the judges' spotlight last night.
Mel Blatt said she was not impressed with how he had dealt with pressure and criticism.
"Whenua, we've had our issues. I just think this industry would be too hard for you," she said.

With Blatt and Daniel Bedingfield calling for Patuwai to be sent home and Ruby Frost and Stan Walker voting off Cassie Henderson, the elimination was determined by how the public had voted.
After hearing she would be going home, a tearful Henderson spoke of her love for the cast and crew of X Factor.
"Thank you for all your support and for believing in me," she said. "I'm so grateful."
Henderson's mentor was also full of praise.
“Cassie was the one that made me excited about judging this competition," Bedingfield said. "She connected in a way I’ve never seen before and I can’t wait to see what she does next."

Also featuring on last night's show was Australian popstar Timomatic and the debut TV performance of Bedingfield's new single.
Benny Tipene, Jackie Thomas, Moorhouse and Whenua Patuwai are through to Sunday's semi-finals, where they will fight for a place in X Factor history.
Cassie Henderson will be talking to 3 News later today.
