She's topped the music charts and now Auckland singer-songwriter Lorde's first two New Zealand shows have sold out in a matter of minutes.
The North Shore 16-year-old, whose real name is Ella Yelich-O'Connor, has won herself a legion of local fans on the back of her debut EP, The Love Club, as well as endorsements from the likes of celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton and acclaimed Canadian musician Grimes.
Tickets for next month's shows, at Galatos in Auckland and Mighty Mighty in Wellington, went on sale at 9am on Monday, but sold out in a matter of minutes, a spokesman for her record label Universal confirmed.
Lorde took to Twitter to celebrate the news.
"So Auckland and Wellington sold out in a ridiculously small amount of time I am so happy you guys."
Fans who missed out on tickets have already started posting on her Facebook page asking for extra shows.
Lorde's first single, 'Royals', sat at number one on the New Zealand top 40 singles chart for three weeks.
It's now sitting at number three, while The Love Club EP is at number seven on the top 40 albums chart, after peaking at number two.
The EP had been available for free download before going on sale on iTunes.
Lorde is also playing two sold out dates in Sydney and Melbourne in mid-May.
