Hollywood personality Debbie Matenopoulos, a former E! Channel presenter, arrived in Wellington today ahead of the premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
Ms Matenopoulos spoke to 3 News about being in New Zealand for the first time.
“I can’t think of a more beautiful place on the planet than New Zealand and that’s a lot coming from me, I’ve been everywhere,” she says.
“This is one of the most beautiful, cleanest places I have ever visited.”
The former presenter of The Daily 10 has been shown around the capital by Tourism New Zealand and her trip will include travelling on Air New Zealand’s Hobbit plane tomorrow.
“It kinda does feel like Middle-earth. Walking around here, you kinda get the Hobbit vibe. You understand the whole Peter Jackson thing.”
She says she used to date someone from Wellington and after visiting, she understands him so much better.
“People in New Zealand are so nice, they’re so laid back and just really good people. And good looking people, really good looking people.
“I feel like Central Casting has cast a whole lot of people to walk around because everyone’s hot,” says Ms Matenopoulos.
