British singer Sir Cliff Richard has been cleared of sexual assault allegations, with prosecutors saying there is insufficient evidence to proceed with the case.
The 75-year-old was being investigated for alleged offences against four males --including young boys -- between 1958 and 1983.
Sir Cliff was never arrested, and denied the allegations.
The chief crown prosecutor for Yorkshire and Humberside, Martin Goldman, says the complainants have been informed and "provided with a full explanation in writing".
The investigation into Sir Cliff began in August 2014 when police raided his home in Berkshire.
He voluntarily met police in November, when according to his spokesman he "cooperated fully with officers and answered the questions put to him".
