Reality TV star Kim Kardashian turns 36 on Friday, but she won't be throwing a big party as she has in other years.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians heroine will be celebrating "intimately" as she is still shaken after being robbed by masked gunmen in Paris, according to media reports.

"Kim's birthday is going to be a very quiet celebration this year. She has no plans on making a big bash. She will have an intimate birthday with her immediate family," a source tells E! News.

"She is not in any celebrating mood yet. Kanye [West, Kardashian's husband] is trying to do whatever he can to make her feel better, but it's just the constant memories of the robbery that keep on messing with her."

Although she was not injured during the ordeal, Kardashian was said to be badly shaken by it and is reportedly undergoing therapy for the trauma.

She has cancelled several upcoming public events and production on Keeping Up With the Kardashians has been put on hold.
