Guns N' Roses, the group once called the most dangerous band in the world, has touched down in New Zealand.

The 'Welcome to the Jungle' rockers have landed in Wellington ahead of their concert there on Thursday night, before they play Auckland on Saturday.

The band's customised Boeing 767, emblazoned with its logo, touched down in the capital on Tuesday morning after playing shows in Japan.

Original members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan reunited last year for the Not in This Lifetime Tour, along with Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer and Melissa Reese.

The first Guns N' Roses show in New Zealand takes place at Westpac Stadium, where the Wellington Sevens final was held on Sunday night.

It's unknown what the musicians are up to in Wellington before their gig, but fans should be on the lookout for a chance up-and-close meeting.
