Angry leopard pounces at film crew in intense video

A documentary film crew has captured the moment an angry leopard launched itself towards them.

The BBC crew were filming wild dogs for Spy In The Wild when they came across a leopard being wound up by the pack.

Once the leopard retreated up a tree and the dogs left, the big cat's attention shifted towards the film crew.

One of the crew can be heard warning the other to prepare to throw a hat to distract the leopard if it charges.

When he's asked if that will work, he replies: "I'm not quite sure."

The leopard then leaps from the tree and begins sprinting for the truck, hurtling straight towards the camera.

It jumped on top of the truck as one of the crew attempted to scare it away, knocking the camera over in the process.

A brief scuffle can be heard, before quiet, as the crew member throws his hat away. It successfully distracted the leopard and the crew heaved a sigh of relief.

"Shall we get moving in case he decides to come back and have some more?" one suggested.
