Carrie Fisher predicted she would be dead by 2017, her close friend James Blunt has said.
The Star Wars legend died on December 27, 2016, after suffering a heart attack while on a flight.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, the 'You're Beautiful' singer recalled an unusual incident which happened when he was staying at Fisher's house.
"She put a cardboard cutout of herself as Leia outside my room, with her date of birth and date of death on her forehead," Blunt said.
"I'm trying to remember what the date was, because it was around now and I remember thinking it was too soon. She went out with a bang, as she was back in movies. Maybe it was a great time to go."
The pair became close after meeting in Los Angeles, and Fisher invited Blunt to stay at her compound while he recorded his debut album Back to Bedlam which he says was named after the "madhouse" she lived in.
Blunt said he recorded his hit song 'Goodbye My Lover' using a piano in Fisher's bathroom.
Fisher was godmother to Blunt's young son, and he said "The saddest thing is that my son will never get to know someone I thought was the most special person. Fisher was my American mother, and a real inspiration."
