'Game of Clones' dating show with a difference

Dating shows have come a long way in the past few years, with contestants able to date in the dark, in the nude, blindfolded etc. But a new dating show in the UK has taken things to a whole new level.

England’s Channel 4 has a new show called ‘Game of Clones’, which matches singles with not just one, but eight identical dates, picked according to their physical preferences.

The show’s producers use “avatar building technology" to put together their dream partner, before eight people matching that ideal partner are identified using the show's "dating database".

To make it even weirder, the ‘clones' then live with their 'creator', and go on various dates where the creator gets to know their various personalities.

The purpose of the dating show seems to be that it’s what’s on the inside that counts.

The clones are whittled down until one is left standing.

Viewers in the UK had a few words to describe the show, namely ‘weird’.

There’s no word yet on whether the show will be airing in New Zealand.
