Harrison Ford's near-miss plane landing footage released

Video of Harrison Ford's bungled plane landing earlier this month has surfaced thanks to the US airport where it happened.

Ford had a "potentially serious" incident while piloting his private plane in an incident that is now being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The FAA said Ford was given proper landing instructions to land on runway 20-L at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, but aimed for a taxiway instead.

That meant the Indiana Jones actor reportedly took his aircraft dangerously close to a full passenger plane that had 110 passengers and six crew onboard.

In 2015, the 74-year-old was injured after the vintage two-seater plane he was piloting crashed following an engine failure in Santa Monica.

He has played the role of a pilot in several films, including Air Force OneSix Days, Seven Nights and Star Wars.
