The Edge's night show radio presenter Marty Hehewerth has announced he will be leaving the Mediaworks-run station on March 10.
In the shock announcement he explained on air on Monday night that he would be leaving to travel the world with his current girlfriend.
In a post on Twitter he said, "I feel so incredibly lucky to have worked at The Edge.
"I've made some great lifelong friends."
Heheworth has been a part of The Edge for 10 years, after he first walked into the radio station looking for work experience.
He has been host of the night show The Edge 30 for three years with co-host Steph Monks, whom he also thanked.
"A special shout out to Steph, my partner in crime for the last three years. [I'm] so proud of what we've achieved and I'm sure we'll work together again," he said.
