A sequel to acclaimed 2015 game Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has been announced, set for release in August.
The new game is said to put players in control of a new Ring of Power for battle against iconic JRR Tolkien foes including Sauron and the Nazgul.
Coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, Middle-earth: Shadow of War promises to expand on the 'Nemesis System' that made the original game such a hit.
"We massively expanded every dimension of the game, including the world, the story, the RPG systems, the core gameplay and of course the personal player stories of the Nemesis System," says Michael de Plater of the game's developer, Monolith Productions.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War is set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will continue the original narrative of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
