Real Housewives of Auckland's Gilda Kirkpatrick hits back over Adele live-streaming

Real Housewives of Auckland star Gilda Kirkpatrick has fired back after being criticised for live-streaming Thursday night's Adele concert.

Penny Ashton, a comedienne, performance poet and social commentator, publicly took issue with Kirkpatrick's live Facebook broadcast during an appearance on TVNZ on Friday.

Ashton claimed 75 minutes of the Mt Smart Stadium event was streamed by the socialite, declaring "it just isn't right".

Kirkpatrick's fiery streak, well documented on Real Housewives of Auckland, quickly showed itself on her Facebook page in response.

"Who the f**k makes them the authority to tell me what I did was right or wrong? Who the f**k is Penny Ashton anyway?" she raged.

"What I think is disgusting is a bunch of idiots with zero knowledge about what they're talking about, spending tax payer TV time to give their unwanted opinion on something of no importance."

Concert promoter Live Nation was reportedly looking into the live-streaming today. Although the streams have been removed from her Facebook page, Kirkpatrick has fiercely defended her broadcasting of them in the first place.

"This is nothing like streaming the boxing as people can pay to watch the boxing at home at any given time. The Adele concert was completely sold out and this is the last leg of her tour so it's not discouraging people from going to her concert because they've already seen it on my shitty live stream," says Kirkpatrick.

"If anything, many people who watched it have mentioned that they will go to the next concert if she comes again."

Adele is performing at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium again on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26.
