Jason Momoa will reportedly star in a feature film adaptation of Just Cause, the videogame franchise that loves explosions and epic destruction even more than Michael Bay.
The Game of Thrones star will play Rico Rodriguez in the movie, which is being directed by Brad Peyton (San Andreas) and written by John Collee (Master and Commander).
Just Cause was originally released by Square Enix in 2006, with sequels in 2010 and 2014. The open-world adventure games garnered critical acclaim for the inventive ways in which they allowed players to unleash large-scale destruction.
The film's storyline hasn't been revealed but it's expected to deal in some way with Rico's crisis of conscience while on a mission.
Momoa will next be seen as Aquaman in Justice League this year.
