It's official: Justin Bieber loves New Zealand, as confirmed on his Twitter account on Thursday morning.

The 'Baby' singer was filmed yelling expletives and telling fans they make him "sick" in Australia last week, but was blissed out after a few days in the South Island.

Perhaps it was his epic 109m Canyon Swing in Queenstown or maybe the half-naked slow dance with a grandmother he enjoyed - whatever it was, the leader of the worldwide Belieber movement left Aotearoa as a very happy chappy.

Bieber was also sporting new tattoos during his romantic dance with a senior citizen, fans have pointed out.

The 23-year-old has adorned his torso with images of what are presumably his power animals - a bear on his chest and an eagle on his stomach.

While he has published evidence of the new ink online, Bieber hasn't stated where he got it done.

His Purpose world tour continues in South America, with the first date set for Chile on March 23.
