'Cash me outside' girl in court for battery, theft

Danielle Bregoli, better known as the "cash me outside, how bow dah" girl, has turned her behavioural problems into a money-making enterprise - but her latest court appearance shows her life is still marred by the past.

The 14-year-old appeared in a Florida juvenile court on Wednesday (local time), and pleaded guilty to five juvenile felony charges relating to battery, grand theft and filing a false police report.

The court appearance comes just days after Bregoli is believed to have been the victim of a bashing in her old neighbourhood of Boynton Beach, Florida - although her mother denies it's her.

All of the charges are believed to have taken place at Bregoli's former Florida home and involve her mother, with whom she has historically had a fractious relationship.

The teen will return to court to stand trial as a juvenile in June, an appearance that will involve Bregoli and her mother flying to Florida from their new home of Los Angeles, where they recently relocated.

The offences are alleged to have taken place before her appearance on Dr Phil  in September 2016, a television debut that has since secured her a 9.2 million-strong Instagram following, party and music video appearances worth tens of thousands of dollars, and her own reality TV series.

Bregoli belatedly became an internet sensation after challenging Dr Phil audience members for a fight outside the studio with her very thick accent.

It is not clear if Bregoli could face a prison sentence if she is found guilty of the charges.
