Killing a bunch of time is easy when you're watching a classic film with a nice, long running time. This timeless 1963 tale, based on a true story and starring the eternally cool Steve McQueen, is about as good a way to spend three hours indoors as humanly possible.
The Shawshank Redemption
Voted both New Zealand's and the world's favourite film of all time, this 1994 prison drama is always nice to rewatch and introduce younger family members to. It's also primarily about the power of hope - as we all hope for the weather give us a break.
