Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson has offered to meet up with an elderly lady whose grandson shared an old photo of her that shared an uncanny resemblance to the Ghost in the Shell star.
In a video posted on social media, Johansson said she'd cover all the woman's costs involved in flying out to meet her, and would take her to watch her latest film Rough Night and get drunk together.
The video comes nine days after a Reddit user named DenverJoel shared the photo of his now 72-year-old grandmother Geraldine when she was aged 22, along with the caption "My Grandma Looked Like Scarlett Johansson When She Was Younger".
The post drew plenty of attention, and he later posted again revealing that Geraldine was drunk when the photo was taken.
"It was in 1967 at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I called her and she said "Oh sh*t, that picture? I was drunk as a skunk!" DenverJoel wrote.
The post became so popular that Johansson herself was notified of its existence - and her response left Geraldine "literally jaw dropping dumbfounded", according to the Redditer.
"Geraldine, I have been absolutely inundated with emails and messages about how much we look alike and I had to have a look at the photo myself. Holy crap!" Johansson can be heard exclaiming, in reference to their likeness.
"I want to meet you in person. I saw that you were 'drunk as a skunk' when taking that photo, and I would like to see your drunk face. I want to share a drunk face with you. Let's have a drink, Geraldine."
Later in the video, Johansson offered to take Geraldine to her new movie, which she hoped would take her back to her younger days.
"I would like to invite you to see Rough Night with me, to be my guest. We're a bunch of partying girls [in the film], so it's a good running theme, and I'll cover all your hidden costs.
"I'll see you at the bar. Be there or be square."
DenverJoel later revealed that he had also been invited on the trip, and that they were taking Johansson up on her offer. He says both he and Geraldine can "get down", though made it clear he meant that "strictly in a platonic way".
