Ariana Grande's mother has released a statement to the victims of the "diabolical act of terror" that struck her daughter's concert in Manchester last week.

Joan, 48, helped fans get to safety during the attack that killed 22 and has now sent a message to survivors online, telling them she "stands with" them.

"This past week I have spent in reflective thought, prayer and deep sorrow. I join my daughter in extending my help and services to all those affected by the diabolical act of terror which occurred in Manchester," Joan posted on Twitter.

"My heart goes out to all the victims: Those who lost their lives, those injured, those recovering and all survivors of that night, along with the families and friends whose grief knows no bounds. I stand with you all in the face of evil and we stand together to never let it rule our lives!"

Joan and Ariana returned to their home in Florida shortly after the attack, with the 'Problem' hitmaker cancelling European tour dates.

The 23-year-old posted a brief message online about being "sorry" and "broken" the day after the suicide bombing, before releasing a more thorough statement on Friday.

Ariana says she will return to Manchester to meet afflicted fans and host a benefit concert for the victims.
