Ariana Grande's mother reportedly helped get concertgoers to safety amid the panic of the bombing in Manchester.

The 'Problem' singer's concert in the UK city this week turned to tragedy with at least 22 people dead and 59 injured in a suspected terrorist attack.

Ariana's mother Joan, with help from security guards, reportedly ushered a group of around 10 people backstage after the explosion.

The group are said to have waited there until a safe exit from the building was possible.

Joan and Ariana have reportedly returned home to Florida, with the songstress taking to Twitter to tell her fans she is "broken" after the tragedy.

There have been reports Ariana is suspending tour dates following the attack, although Live Nation has assured her Kiwi fans that her Auckland concert remains scheduled for September.
