The first gameplay footage for highly anticipated game Destiny 2 has been released.
Developed by Bungie and published by Activision, the original Destiny amassed a loyal following worldwide after its 2014 release.
Destiny 2's gameplay was unveiled at a media event in California that was livestreamed on several websites around the world.
The sequel is set just a year following the events of Destiny: Rise of Iron, with the Guardians stripped of their powers and forced into hiding after the last safe city on Earth is attacked by the Red Legion faction of the Cabal, led by Dominus Ghaul.
Destiny 2 is set for release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in September, with a PC release at an as-yet unannounced date.
