Ed Sheeran drops another NZ tour hint

  • 08/05/2017

Ed Sheeran is continuing to tease New Zealand fans about an upcoming tour down under, posting an image to Facebook of his Divide album cover with a kiwi icon.

The image - which also contains a kangaroo - appeared early on Monday morning along with the message "News soon x".

Concert promoter Frontier Touring dropped similar hints on Friday and Sheeran said in a February video that he would be here "soon".

No dates have been announced. The 'Shape of You' singer is touring Latin America, Europe and the United States between May and July, and has also announced dates in southeast Asia for November.

However, the 26-year-old is no stranger to New Zealand. In 2016 he took a break from music and came here on a "gap year", bungy jumping in Queenstown and being flown in one of Sir Peter Jackson's planes.
