The first look at Penelope Cruz in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story has been released.
The follow-up to last year's hit series The People v. O.J. Simpson stars the Oscar-winner as Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace - and it's quite something.
Cruz is adorned in a hot pink gown in the official photo and flanked by two muscular, near-naked men. It's taken near the pool at Villa Casa Casuarina, the Miami Beach mansion where Gianni lived and was killed in 1997.
Based on the book Vulgar Favors, the show will explore the infamous murder and will be filmed partly at the real villa location, which today features a restaurant and suites.
Cruz stars alongside Edgar Ramirez as Gianni Versace, Ricky Martin as Gianni's longtime partner Antonio D'Amico and Darren Criss as Andrew Cunanan.
It will be the third season of the show and is expected to be broadcast next year, following this year's season which focuses on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
