Video of Harry Styles paying a heartfelt tribute to the victims of the Manchester bombing has emerged online, with the singer saying the attack at an Ariana Grande concert left "a hole" in his heart.

The former One Direction star was performing in Mexico when he stopped the music to issue his touching message.

Styles struggled to keep the screaming fans quiet and appeared emotional as he spoke.

"Last night there was a tragedy in my hometown of Manchester and I have been left with a hole in my heart," Styles told the audience.

"I went to my first show in the arena and I've had some of the best experiences of my life playing at that place in Manchester. We have a choice, every single day when we wake up, of what you can put into the world. I ask you to please choose love, every single day."

His tribute comes as more names of the 22 people killed in the tragedy are revealed and members of the bomber's family are arrested.

It followed a tribute from fellow pop star Miley Cyrus, who dedicated a performance of her song 'Malibu' on US TV show The Voice.

"I'd like to dedicate this song to my good friend Ariana Grande and everyone who experienced that horrific attack," said Cyrus.

"Our hearts are with you."

Countless celebrities have also taken to social media following the attack to share love and support online.
